The Grief Tree is a science fiction novel full of twists and turns: The Echo Wife meets Black Mirror. At its artificial heart, it’s a story about AI, love, and the legacy each of us leave when we die.
The Grief Tree takes us to the near-future world of Here, and a story which sees Solomon try to discover why his AI therapist has the face and mannerisms of his dead wife. In the other part of the novel, Eliza tries to find her way back to Solomon from the fantastical world of There - a barren landscape where the dead must salvage their possessions from an impossibly large river.
